Is the Electricity Advisor compatible with rooftop solar meters?

The Electricity Advisor works with most solar smart meters.

The Electricity Advisor reads the flashing Impulse light on your Smart Meter and can interpret these "flashes" as 'data' onto your EMS App.

On days when the sun is shining, your Solar system can generate power back into the grid. You may notice that your Electricity Advisor reads little to no usage due to your Smart meter not flashing when power feeds back into your local grid! This is the best time to use appliances, and the Electricity Advisor is perfect for letting you know precisely when that is.

Suppose you don't have an Electricity Advisor yet and ask if this will work with your Solar. Don't fret - you can check before installing your Electricity Advisor.

Go out to your Smart meter on a sunny day; if your Smart meter is compatible, your Impulse Light will stop flashing when your Solar System is exporting to the grid. If your impulse light flashes while your solar system exports to the grid, your Smart meter is NOT compatible with the Electricity Advisor.

The Electricity Advisor does not read your Solar Feed-in generation.
Please note; that The Electricity Advisor does not report on solar energy exported to the grid as this is not available via the optical interface on the meter.
